PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police have arrested a man who they say severely beat a 74-year-old woman as she woke up in her own bed.

According to Sgt. Tommy Thompson with the Phoenix Police Department, the woman woke up as she was being severely beaten in her bed at her home near 31st Avenue and Northern just after 4 a.m. on September 4.
