Los Olivos Hand Car Wash closing on December 30th

PHOENIX - It's been a fixture in central Phoenix for many years, but Los Olivos hand car wash is closing. The last cars will get washed in the coming weeks and the owner plans a party to say thank you to all of her loyal customers.

This has to be one of the oldest car washes in the Valley. It's been on the northwest corner of 3rd Street and McDowell since the 1950s.

Coletta Spurling goes way back at the Los Olivos Hand Car Wash, but now she's calling it quits.

Soon, this land will be occupied by condos like seemingly every other scrap of available space in downtown Phoenix these days.

Longtime customers say they'll miss this place.
