May 9 marked the 25th day of the trial for the so-called 'Doomsday Mom,' a woman who is accused of murdering two of her children, as being accused of conspiring to kill the wife of her current husband, Chad Daybell. On this day, Idaho Attorney General's Office lead investigator Nicholas Edwards took the stand as the final witness for the prosecution. Edwards, who assisted in the investigation into the death of Chad Daybell's ex-wife, Tammy, testified about texts between Lori and Chad, saying Tammy had two life insurance policies that both paid out to Chad. A piece of Lori Vallow's hair was apparently stuck to a piece of duct tape wrapped around her murdered 7-year-old son's body, a witness testified Monday, according to local reports. "The partial DNA profile matched the DNA profile provided for Lori Vallow Daybell." Utah’s chief medical examiner, Dr. Erik Christensen, and the senior DNA analyst with Bode Technology, Keeley Coleman, FBI special agent Ricky Wright took the stand – retracing the steps of another alleged co-conspirator, Lori’s late brother Alex.

The court also heard from two more witnesses: A special agent with social security that helped investigate, detailing how Lori allegedly collected benefits on behalf of her kids months after the murders.

During day 11 of the Lori Vallow trial, the Arizona mother accused of killing her kids and husband's late wife, a phone call was replayed back to the courtroom between Lori and her only living child, Colby Ryan. Trial proceedings on April 12 were shortened, after one of the lead prosecutors had a death in the family.
