Loop 202 open at Power Road in Mesa after fatal crash
MESA, Ariz. - The eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway has re-opened at Power Road after a fatal collision on Nov. 13, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
During the closure that happened on Friday morning, officials recommended taking the US 60 to get around the scene.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash involved a vehicle versus a pedestrian that occurred on the on-ramp at Power Road off the eastbound lanes of the 202.
On Twitter, officials stated, "AZDPS is looking for anyone who may have witnessed a vehicle lose debris or with other info regarding a fatal collision which occurred on EB Santan Loop 202 near Power Rd on Fri., Nov. 13, 2020 at about 10:12 AM. Call 877-272-8329 or submit tips online: http://azdps.gov/tips."
No names have been released in this case. The investigation is ongoing.
