Judge could decide to move Christina Morris trial
McKINNEY, Texas - A judge may decide Friday if the trial of an accused kidnapper will be moved to out of Collin County.
Lawyers for Enrique Arochi argue publicity surrounding the disappearance of Christina Morris means he cannot get a fair trial.
Morris was last seen in 2014. Arochi was the last person seen with her as the two left a friend's apartment in Plano.
Police said they found her DNA in his trunk, but her body was never found.
Morris' family is fine with a venue change as long as there is a trial and justice is served. They haven't given up hope that she is alive somewhere.
"I'm grateful for the media attention because this is an active missing person's case," said Anna Morris, her stepmother. "You never dream your family's gonna be in this position."
Arochi has pleaded not guilty.
