Is President Trump visiting the Valley again?

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Will President Donald Trump be visiting the Valley in the days or weeks following the primary election next Tuesday?

Currently, rumors are swirling that Trump will return to Arizona to try to whip up support for whoever wins the Republican Party primary for U.S. Senate. It would make political sense for Trump to hold another rally in Arizona to energize the GOP faithful, after a bruising primary contest featuring Kelli Ward, Joe Arpaio and Martha McSally. It would be a chance to bring together the party heading into the November election.

The last time Trump held a rally in the Valley was in 2017, and tempers flared as protesters clashed with Phoenix Police.

Now, the question is, might the President come back?

Officials with the Phoenix Convention Center said:

"The Trump campaign contacted the Phoenix Convention Center once to inquire about available space on September 5 to 6, and we informed them that we do not have space available on those dates."

Meanwhile, no one with Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Arizona State Fairgrounds would go on the record, except to note they're getting ready for the Arizona State Fair.

What about that aircraft hangar at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, where Trump parked his jet and regaled supporters during the campaign? Officials declined an interview.

FOX 10 also reached out to the Trump people, but received no reply. So, it makes sense the President will visit the Valley, because there's a U.S. Senate seat up for grabsm and the stakes are high, but nobody's talking, just yet.

If the President does make a return to Phoenix, will Phoenix Police do anything different in their dealing with protesters? Phoenix Police officials said:

"For obvious reasons, we will not discuss tactics."
