A portion of I-10 has reopened west of Phoenix after 2 semi-trucks collided Wednesday night, ending in the death of at least one person.

The crash, according to information provided by ADOT, happened on the freeway's eastbound lanes, just west of the intersection of I-10 and Hassayampa Road.

The crash initially had a hazmat response, but first responders say the liquid on the roadway ended up being lemon juice.

It's unknown what led up to the collision. The highway was closed throughout the night for the investigation.
