Hospital releases 2nd officer wounded in Wal-Mart shooting
CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP/KSAZ) - The second of two Chandler police officers wounded in a shooting at a Wal-Mart store last weekend has been discharged from the hospital.
Officer Joshua Pueblo was released Friday from Chandler Regional Medical Center two days after he was moved from an intensive-care unit after a second surgery.
The other officer wounded April 23 was 28-year-old Daniel Colwell. He was less severely wounded and was previously released from the hospital.
Police have said 24-year-old Mitchell Oakley was killed after opening fire at the officers. They were responding to a call about a trespasser.
A Wal-Mart employee called police after recognizing Oakley as having been ejected from the store in the past.
