LITTLE CANADA, Minn. - Temperatures reached 91° near St. Paul, Minnesota Saturday. For Bay Area residents, temps in the 90s are not shocking, but the road workers near Little Canada, MN may feel differently.
The heat buckled the pavement on Edgerton Street, near the intersection of interstates 35E and 694, sending unsuspecting drivers' vehicles into the air.
Video from the Minnesota Department of Transportation's (MDOT) traffic cameras shows vehicles hopping over the buckled road. Some drivers were able to slow before hitting the sharp bump in the roadway, but many flew right over.
The road has since been repaired.
