Phoenix PD: Impairment may have been a factor in head-on collision
PHOENIX - Five people have been hospitalized following a multi-vehicle head-on collision in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, crews responded to the crash at the intersection of 67th Avenue and Flower Street just before 2 a.m. on April 10.
Police say a 54-year-old man driving a Chrysler was traveling northbound on 67th Avenue and collided with a southbound Chevrolet, that was driven by a 19-year-old woman.
"The 19-year-old driver of the Impala was evaluated for impairment and did not exhibit any signs. Impairment may have been a factor for the 54-year old driver of the Chrysler. Charges are pending further review," stated Sgt. Maggie Cox of the Phoenix Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing and no names have been released in this case.
