Gravely-ill dog makes remarkable recovery, now up for adoption
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A gravely-ill dog pit bull terrier that was rescued earlier this year has made a remarkable recovery and is now up for adoption in Phoenix.
According to the Arizona Humane Society, Femi, an American pit bull terrier, was found by a Good Samaritan in February and brought to the animal shelter for treatment.
The human society says Femi weighed only 39 pounds when she was found and spent several months in a trauma hospital while recovering.
Officials say Femi is now up for adoption at 1521 W. Dobbins Road in Phoenix. She needs to be the only pet at her forever home and is a sweet and loving pup who loves meeting new people. She is also potty trained.
