Fans swarm University of Phoenix stadium ahead of big game
GLENDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - There is a lot of excitement in the air as the valley plays host to some big events this weekend. The Rock N Roll Marathon takes place Saturday and Sunday, and there is the Health and Fitness Expo underway downtown.
And of course the game everyone is talking about, the Arizona Cardinals, just two wins away from security a spot in the Super Bowl. First they have to take on Green Bay, Saturday evening at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
Excitement is building at the stadium, the winner of the matchup moves on to the NFC Championship, and one step closer to the Super Bowl.
Hopes are high at the home of the Cardinals in Glendale, and Cards fans are out in force, so are the Green Bay fans.
"Definitely going to crush them... they will crush the Packers," said Brad Humke.
Some fans even came from Germany for the big game.
"Of course the Cards are the big favorite, I am rooting for the Cardinals now that I am visiting here," said Bjoern Hesse.
There is a lot of trash talking between fans, but everyone is doing it with a smile.
