Ducey appoints 3 to Maricopa County Superior Court
PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has appointed three new judges to the Maricopa County Superior Court.
Ducey announced Friday that he’s chosen Marvin Davis, Suzanne Nicholls and Michael Rassas to fill three vacant seats on the bench.
Davis is a commissioner in the criminal division of the Maricopa County Superior Court, and previously worked in private practice handling criminal, family and personal injury law. He also was a public defender.
Nicholls represents parents and families in child dependency cases for the Maricopa County Office of the Special Advocate. She previously worked for the Attorney General’s Office in Phoenix and Yuma handling criminal appeals and child dependency cases. She’s also worked in private practice on issues including real estate, business, estate planning and employment.
Rassas represents the Arizona Department of Transportation and the Department of Public Safety in the Attorney General’s Office. He was previously an administrative law judge at ADOT and a Maricopa County prosecutor.
