Driver killed in rollover on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix

PHOENIX (AP) - A driver is dead after a rollover accident on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the name of the person killed hasn't been released yet.

TV video showed a vehicle that hit a light pole before it ended up on its roof on the freeway embankment Friday morning.

DPS officials say only the driver was in the vehicle.

Witnesses said the driver swerved out of the left lane and across all lanes of traffic before the vehicle rolled.

It's not immediately clear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

The westbound lanes of I-10 were closed briefly and drivers were forced off the interstate on to 51st Avenue.

DPS officials say the crash is under investigation.
