PHOENIX - A fight in south Phoenix left a woman and man dead, police said.
Officers were called to an area near 23rd Avenue and Baseline Road and found the victims inside a car parked in the street. The woman, 27-year-old Caelee Lovelight, had been shot to death, and the man, 47-year-old Javin Casillias, was found with injuries from being stabbed and died at the hospital.
"Detectives believed the victims were in a physical altercation with each other where Lovelight was shot and Casillias was stabbed," police said. It's not clear what the fight was about.
Police identify Lovelight as a transgendered woman.
