Need a vacation? Here are the destinations with the biggest airfare price drops

Where are the cheapest places to fly from the U.S.? Several international beach destinations have seen big airfare price drops, according to a new report from the flight comparison site SkyScanner.

Skyscanner shared its Travel Trends 2025 report and highlighted the best value destinations based on the biggest airfare price drops departing from the U.S. over the past year.

Ranking No. 1 was Nice, the second-largest French city on the Mediterranean coast, where fares dropped by 27% in the first half of 2024 compared to a year prior, the report said. 

Farther down the top 10 list, some U.S. cities also made the cut – including Fargo, North Dakota. Airfare dropped by 24%, SkyScanner said.

  8. Salt Lake City, Utah - 19% airfare price drop
  9. Amsterdam, Netherlands - 19% airfare price drop
  10. Barranquilla, Colombia - 19% airfare price drop
