BUCKEYE, Ariz. - A multi-car crash on Interstate 10 in Buckeye killed at least one person on Monday, April 24, the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of I-10 near milepost 103 in Buckeye, which is located near I-10 and Hassayampa Road.
According to DPS, seven vehicles, including two semi-trucks, were involved and one of them didn't stop when going through a construction zone, causing a chain-reaction crash
"This is a collision involving two semis and a number of other vehicles. One semi was pulling a flatbed and is jackknifed across all eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 at milepost 105. Eastbound I-10 is completely blocked," DPS said after the crash Monday.

Deadly crash on I-10 near Tonopah shuts down portion of highway
A portion of eastbound I-10 near Tonopah is closed as troopers look into what caused a deadly crash between several cars on Monday, April 24.
The driver of the first vehicle that didn't stop when going through the construction zone died. That person was not identified.
Three other people were hospitalized, including a teen who was airlifted in critical condition.
