Crews install rainbow crosswalks in Phoenix

Crews installed rainbow-painted crosswalks in Phoenix in support of the LGBTQ community.

The new rainbow crosswalks have been installed across Central and First Avenues at Portland Street and Seventh Avenue at Glenrosa.

Earlier this year, the Phoenix city council approved the rainbow-painted crosswalks in support of the LGBTQ community.

The Phoenix Pride Community Foundation and one-n-ten funded the materials, installation, and maintenance for the two crosswalks.

The City of Phoenix reminds all drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists to follow the same basic rules for crossing the street at these rainbow-painted crosswalks.
