CHANDLER, Ariz. - Authorities say two people have suffered serious injuries following a shooting near Chandler.
According to a brief statement by the Gila River Police Department, the shooting happened along Old Price Road, and no members of the community were involved.
Fire officials say two people were taken to a hospital for further evaluation. The two were not identified.
In a separate statement released by Chandler Police, a suspect is in custody, and there is no threat to surrounding areas at this time. An investigation by Gila River Police is ongoing.
