Cause of Flagstaff auto dealership fire under investigation
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire at a Flagstaff automobile dealership that has done up to $100,000 in damages.
Flagstaff Fire Department officials say crews were dispatched to the report of smoke showing from a building located behind the Tyrell Marxen Chevrolet dealership about 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Three engines, a ladder truck and a battalion chief were dispatched to the scene.
The crews were able to make access to the fire, which was located inside the building near a vehicle spray booth.
Initial investigation showed that the air handling unit for the booth was on fire. But after checking the spray booth it was determined that it also had active fire inside of it.
Authorities say the fire was quickly knocked down and under control within 20 minutes.
