Another court hearing scheduled for Cardinals' 'Hollywood' Brown
Another court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 14 for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, following his criminal speeding arrest last month.
PHOENIX - Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown was arrested for criminal speeding on the morning of Aug. 3.
Arizona Department of Safety spokesman Bart Graves confirmed that Brown was arrested at 7:05 a.m. along the Loop 101 near Interstate 17 in north Phoenix and booked in Maricopa County Jail.
According to court documents, Brown was clocked by a trooper going 126 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone.
In Arizona, criminal speeding is defined as anything 20 mph over the posted speed limit. It is a misdemeanor.
"We are aware of the situation regarding Hollywood Brown and have reported it to the NFL office as required," the Cardinals said in a statement. "We will comment further as appropriate."
Brown's lawyer appeared on the NFL star's behalf on Aug. 23. A second hearing is scheduled for Sept. 14.

Brown was acquired in a draft-day deal with the Baltimore Ravens and is expected to play a big role in Arizona’s offense, especially during the first six weeks when three-time All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins is out because of a suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancers.
Brown caught 91 passes for 1,007 yards and six touchdowns for the Ravens last season. The receiver didn't practice much during training camp because of a hamstring injury he suffered while working out on his own in July.
In his first game with the Cardinals, Brown caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown in a 44-21 loss at home against the Kansas City Chiefs.
