PHOENIX (KSAZ) - The Burton Barr Central Library, which is Phoenix's main public library, will reopen on June 16 after being closed for nearly a year due to flooding.
Phoenix library officials announced on Wednesday that the library will reopen on Saturday, June 16 at 9 a.m.
The Burton Barr Central Library has been closed since June 15, 2017 when it became heavily damaged from a corroded fire-sprinkler pipe that burst during a monsoon storm.
Officials estimated that repair costs to reopen the library would be between $6 and $8 million.
