LITTLEFIELD, Ariz. (AP) - Motorists using Arizona's short section of Interstate 15 are being advised to be prepared for waits resulting from a bridge reconstruction project.
I-15 cuts across extreme northwestern Arizona between Mesquite, Nevada, and St. George, Utah.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says delays of up to 20 minutes will begin Monday and continue through the end of March as workers build a new southbound bridge structure over the Virgin River.
The department says one travel lane will remain open in each direction but that motorists will need to slow down and be on alert for construction equipment and workers.
The $27 million rehabilitation of the bridge began in March and is expected to be complete in 2016.
