Boy's leg caught in boat propellor in July 4th accident at Lake Pleasant

A teenager is recovering after his leg was caught in the propellor of a boat in the water at Lake Pleasant. 

The incident happened at 11 p.m. according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Officials emphasize safety tips at Lake Pleasant

Officials provide safety tips for partiers planning to spend time at Lake Pleasant ahead of the Memorial Day holiday. FOX 10's Dominique Newland has the story.

The 13-year-old boy was taken out of the water at the Pleasant Harbor Marina where he was transferred to a local hospital. 

The hemorrhage is not life-threatening.
