When crews arrived, they reportedly found a single mobile home unit that was well involved in flames, with an exposure to the north starting to catch fire.
According to Cpt. Gentry, a roof collapse at the mobile home hindered firefighting efforts. Eventually, the fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the exposure. The home where the fire started, according to Cpt. Gentry, was a complete loss.
The body, according to Cpt. Gentry, was found during a secondary search of the building. People living in the area told Phoenix Fire officials that a man in his 50s with health issues lived in the unit, by himself.
The fire is now under investigation.
