MESA, Ariz. - Authorities are investigating a shooting that left at least one person dead the night of Saturday, Sept. 26 near Loop 202 and Power Road in Mesa.
The victim has been identified as a 40-year-old female and the suspect is her husband, a 53-year-old male. Police say the woman died at the scene.
"The suspect drove to Mesa Police Headquarters, where he attempted to take his own life. At this time, the suspect is in the hospital, listed in critical condition," stated Brandi George of the Mesa Police Department.
No names have been released in this case.
