HELENA, Mont. (AP) -- Authorities in south-central Montana have released the name of a man whose body was found by hikers last month near the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness Area north of Helena.
Lewis and Clark County Coroner Bryan Backeberg on Wednesday identified the man as 61-year-old David William Kell of Prescott, Arizona.
His body was found on July 20. At the time, Sheriff Leo Dutton said the body was badly decomposed and may have been in the area for up to a week.
Backeberg says Kell's cause of death is still under investigation.
