PHOENIX - A perfect record for the Arizona Cardinals so far this season has fans starting to get some high hopes.
The Red Sea is ready to rise up and hopefully ride the wave all the way to the Super Bowl.
Tony Gonzalez wears his Arizona Cardinals pride on his sleeve. Well, actually more like on his arm.
"I'm all for Arizona. That's where I'm from. That's what I love. Just had to put it on me [as a tattoo], love every bit of it. Got the flag, got my Cardinals, those colors are me."
The lifelong Cards fan watches the games every week in Benson, Arizona.
He doesn't want to get too ahead of himself, but he's feeling pretty good about 7-0.
"We need it. Our whole state needs it, man," Gonzalez said.
Back in Phoenix, Sara Thomas showed us the Cardinals swag she's accumulated throughout the years.
She's had season tickets since the first game when the "Phoenix" Cardinals played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe.
"It's special to me. It really brings back the memories. This is from ASU Stadium, 1988. Most fans today, I don't think they know it used to be the Phoenix Cardinals."
Cardinal Red is in the family's blood now.
"We started out, I took the kids to the ASU stadium, then the kids and the grandkids, now it's the kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. It's definitely a family deal," Thomas said.
Thomas has high hopes. This could be the year her favorite football team puts it all together.
"It's always been fun to watch them. They're exciting, challenging sometimes, too, but I think this is the year for us," Thomas said.
As for the odds, the Cardinals are a 9-1 shot to win the Super Bowl. Only three teams are ahead of them, the Bucs, the Bills and the Rams who Arizona already defeated this year.
