Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for July 3-9.

This will be updated as police and fire departments release information about their investigations throughout the week.

July 9

• 51st Avenue and McDowell - A woman was detained after she reportedly started throwing rocks at people. One man claimed he was hit. Police say they had to use a "less-lethal" weapon after she charged at officers.
• Phoenix firefighter hurt, 12 displaced after double house fire
• 32nd Street and Thunderbird, Phoenix -  Two people were detained after someone opened fire at a house party. Witnesses told police that the two men had crashed the party and had been in an argument when they were told to leave. No injuries reported.

July 8

• 43rd Avenue and Peoria, Phoenix - Four people were hospitalized in a two-car crash at 10:46 p.m. A man and woman are in critical condition. A teenage girl and a man were hospitalized in stable condition.
• Man gets stuck inside tortoise hole in New River backyard
• 43rd Avenue and Cactus Road, Phoenix - Phoenix Fire says 4 people are without a home after theirs caught fire on July 8. A man was treated for smoke inhalation but is going to be OK. A crisis team is helping the family.
• 24th Street and Broadway Road, Phoenix - Phoenix firefighters put out a fire at a home around 1 p.m. The home was vacant.
• 7th Avenue and Glendale, Phoenix -  Three people will be displaced after a fire broke out at a townhome at around 11 a.m.
• 29th Avenue and Northern, Phoenix - A man was seriously hurt after being shot at around 10:20 a.m. It's still under investigation.
• Large Glendale house fire leaves 2 hurt
• 8th Avenue and Gilbert Road, Mesa -  A man was stabbed in what appears to be a domestic situation involving two cousins. The suspect was taken into custody, and the injured male is expected to be okay.

July 7

• Fight over Xbox leads to shooting in Mesa, police say
• Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road: A motorcyclist died after being run over by a vehicle on the Loop 101 ramp at Scottsdale Road.
• Woman shot in north Phoenix, investigation underway
• Teenage boy shot at Phoenix apartment complex

July 6

• Suspect dead following shooting involving Glendale Police officers
• Mesa police shoot, kill suspect after domestic violence incident
• Nitrogen tank leak in Sun City West forces evacuations
• Suspected DUI driver strikes 3 pedestrians in Phoenix, killing 1: PD
• Phoenix strip mall fire extinguished

July 5

• 21st Place and Taylor, Phoenix - A woman's body was found in an alley. No other details were released.
• Fireworks blamed for fire that damaged Chandler playground
• Woman killed, man badly hurt in early morning Phoenix shooting
• Toddler, man hospitalized after Phoenix house fire
• Adobe Street and Higley Road, Mesa: Mesa Fire and Medical Department says an elderly man was found inside a swimming pool. Despite life saving efforts, he died.
• Male inmate unresponsive following incident at 4th Avenue Jail: MCSO
• 2 fires spark in same Phoenix neighborhood
• 2 Phoenix shootings end in crashes, leaving 3 people hurt
• Gilbert house fire was caused by fireworks, officials say

July 4

• Glendale man fired 100 rounds into air during 'height of 4th of July celebration,' police say
• July 4th fireworks cause intense brush fire in Glendale, neighbors say
• Car erupts in flames on Arizona highway
• Suspect taken to hospital following shooting involving DPS trooper
• Phoenix firetruck appears to crash into building
• Fire forces 3 people out of their west Phoenix home
• Price Road and Armstrong Place: Police say a street sweeper crashed into a metal pole in Chandler. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is unknown.
• Suspect arrested in Scottsdale shooting that left man seriously hurt
• Pedestrian hit by Phoenix Police vehicle
• 3 dead, 2 hurt in crash near I-17 in north Phoenix

July 3

• PD: Phoenix shootout between cars leaves 1 dead, no arrests made
• Person killed in Maricopa County fire after 2 mobile homes go up in flames, FD says
• Bethany Home Road and 67th Avenue, Glendale - Glendale Police say 2 men were injured in a shooting at a car wash. They both are expected to be OK. Police say the victims aren't cooperating with the investigation.
• Dunlap and 23rd avenues, Phoenix: A fire sparked around 6 p.m. on July 3 at a home's carport, the fire department said. The blaze spread to the home but the flames were quickly extinguished. No injuries have been reported. A person has been displaced, Phoenix Fire said.
• Osborn and 83rd avenues, Phoenix: Phoenix Fire says a fire started in a kitchen and luckily, all the residents were able to get out of the home and made it to safety. No injuries were reported from this July 3 incident.
• Four hospitalized, dog rescued from house fire in Surprise
• Mesa firefighter burned in vacant building fire
• Country Club Drive and 8th Avenue, Mesa: A firefighter suffered a minor burn while battling a vacant house fire.
