Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for July 17-23.

July 23

  • Castle Hot Springs Road & SR 74, Peoria - This is a single vehicle collision which had 5 passengers. Five passengers will be transported to a local hospital. This collision occurred on Castle Hot Springs Road near State Route 74. Castle Hot Springs Road will be shut down in both directions for an extended period of time while we investigate," Peoria Police said. (Read more)
  • Olive and 59th avenues, Glendale - The Glendale Fire Dept. says that just before 5 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of a house on fire. When they got there, they found "a significant amount of fire around the residence." No one was injured.
  • 21st Avenue and Osborn Road, Phoenix - Phoenix Police say a boyfriend and girlfriend were fighting and during that time, the female's family got involved. When police got there, they found a man who had been stabbed. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. The female was taken to the hospital for possible injures from the fight.
  • 40th Street and Fillmore, Phoenix - A teenage girl was hospitalized after a two-car crash and is now in stable condition. Two other people were involved in the collision.
  • Honeymoon Cove, Lake Pleasant -  A 25-foot fishing boat was destroyed in a fire that spread to nearby brush. Firefighters were able to get it under control, and the incident is under investigation.

Deadly crash shuts down Loop 202

A deadly crash has shut down the westbound lanes of Loop 202 Santan in Chandler, according to the Arizona Dept. of Public Safety.

July 21

  • Truck crashes into Anthem home
  • 45th Avenue and Anthem Way, Phoenix - Firefighters put out a large garage fire that had spread to the second floor and attic space. No injuries reported.
  • Car found submerged in Phoenix canal
  • 22nd Street and Indian School Road, Phoenix - Firefighters put out a debris fire burning behind a strip mall. Power lines were downed, but the cause of that is unclear.

A dive team with Phoenix Fire was been called after a car was found submerged in a canal near 55th Avenue and Osborn Friday morning.

Videos show big flame at scene of propane business fire

Video taken in the area of 40th Street and Washington in Phoenix shows a big flame at the scene of a fire. The fire, which was accompanied by explosions, happened at a propane business.

July 19

  • ASU Downtown Phoenix campus: "Phoenix PD notified ASUPD Dispatch of an aggravated assault at Civic Space Park. A male (unaffiliated with ASU) was reportedly stabbed and transported to the hospital," ASU PD said.
  • Loop 202 and Santan Village Parkway, Gilbert: A crash stopped eastbound traffic near Williams Field Road.
  • Quarterline Road and 102nd Place: Rural Metro Fire says a car crash involving downed powerlines knocked out power to about 4,000 homes near Apache Junction.
  • Scottsdale, Phoenix police search for suspect near apartment complex
  • Pedestrian fatally hit by train in Phoenix

Shooting, chase ends with Scottsdale manhunt

Scottsdale and Phoenix police are currently working to find a suspect at an apartment complex near 68th Street and McDowell.

5 exposed to fentanyl, 'tranq' in Arizona jail

A southern Arizona jail shut down booking operations for a bit after five people, including correctional officers, were exposed to fentanyl and "tranq" when processing a woman.

July 17

  • Man dies in custody after running from Mesa officers, police say
  • 30th Avenue and Adams Street: A man died at the hospital after he was found shot by officers. The suspect(s) remain on the loose.
  • Dozens displaced after fire burns Tempe mobile homes
  • Suspect dead after being shot by Phoenix Police: What we know
  • 75th Avenue and McDowell Road, Phoenix: "Firefighters arrived to find a 55 year old male patient in a pool and beyond resuscitative efforts. Crews are now going available and the scene has been turned over the Phoenix Police Department," the Phoenix Fire Department said.
  • 59th Avenue and Glenrosa, Phoenix: Phoenix Fire says on July 17 around 7 p.m. that 2 people on electric bikes rear-ended a car. A 24-year-old man was hospitalized and the other person appears to be OK. Phoenix PD is investigating.
  • 7th Avenue and Culver Street: A man was found by officers unresponsive at a bus stop. The unidentified man was pronounced dead. A death investigation is underway.

Man shot, killed by Phoenix Police

A man who allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at officers was shot and killed by Phoenix Police near 20th and Jefferson Streets.
