3 firefighters treated for burns following Glendale house fire
GLENDALE, Ariz. - Three firefighters suffered minor burns and a woman was evaluated for smoke inhalation following an attic fire at a Glendale home.
According to Capt. Ashley Losch, the fire broke out late Monday night near 43rd and Northern Avenues.
"The resident was cooking & stepped away, when she returned the kitchen was on fire," Glendale Fire tweeted on Oct. 19.
The fire caused extensive damage to the home and firefighters had to cut holes in the roof for ventilation.
The injured firefighters were hospitalized, but the woman refused transport.
The woman's dog has not been located.
