GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Two people were killed and three others were hurt in a Goodyear multi-car crash on Sunday, the fire department said.
The crash happened near 155th Avenue and Indian School Road on the evening of May 28. First responders haven't said how many cars were involved, but one of them caught fire.
The victims are 43-year-old Brian Rose and 58-year-old Douglas Shippy. Investigators haven't told us the extent of the three other victims' injuries.
"The driver of the third vehicle involved, Andrew Lugo, has been taken into custody and booked into Maricopa County Jail. While the investigation remains ongoing, preliminary charges have been filed against Lugo, including Manslaughter, Endangerment, Aggravated DUI with a Passenger under 15, Extreme DUI, and Exhibition of Speed," police said.
