PHOENIX - Phoenix police are investigating after a man and a woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a home in Ahwatukee Foothills on Saturday, officials said.
Officers had received a call at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 from a man who said he had just shot his wife and was threatening to shoot himself.
After several hours of trying to negotiate with anyone inside the home near Loop 202 and 17th Avenue, police eventually went inside and found the bodies of 50-year-old Christina Becerra and 51-year-old Daniel Chacon.
Becerra and Chacon were married and lived together, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
