$1,000 reward offered for information in Phoenix murder case

Police have released a picture of the victim of a deadly shooting that happened near 28th Street and Broadway as officers hope someone will step forward with more information about the case.

Investigators say 25-year-old Darrell Melvin, Jr. was confronted by the suspects and shot on September 29th. He died two days later at an area hospital.

Right now, detectives don't have much to go on.

"No surveillance and even suspect description is unknown at this time because witnesses.. they're having a hard time coming forward," said Det. Kim Bates.
