Search for suspect in connection with burglary at Cave Creek jeweler
CAVE CREEK, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- A jewelry store in Cave Creek was broken into overnight, and the suspect was caught on camera. Despite the theft, the owner says he's hoping things in the neighborhood can turn around.
A now boarded up window shows what happened early Wednesday morning at the jewelry store, where the suspect got away with most of jewelry in the displays.
The owner of David Jewelers, David Tavitian, got an unbelievable call early Wednesday morning.
"It was the police department," Tavitian recounted. "They said your shop had been robbed. I didn't believe it, but I looked at the cameras, I saw something on the floor."
The suspect went from display to display, and got away with an array of jewelry, such gold and silver.
"When I see something like that, it hurts, but I feel sorry for the person," said Tavitian.
Anyone with information on the case should call Phoenix Police.
