Phoenix police: Suspects steal lottery tickets, try to run down officer with car
PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Police are searching for two suspects following a wild chase in Phoenix that started because of stolen lottery tickets.
According to Phoenix police, the incident began at a Circle K convenience store near 12th Street and Maryland when an officer spotted a suspicious car in the parking lot.
Three men jumped in the car with what appeared to be stolen lottery tickets and when the officer approached the car, the suspects tried to run him down while leaving the scene.
The suspects then led police on a brief chase before crashing their car near Seventh Avenue and Maryland.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested, but two other suspects remain on the loose.
No description of the suspects has been released by police at this time.
Police say no one was injured.
