PD: Death investigation underway after body found in Phoenix park

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Phoenix Police are investigating a death after a body was found in a park.

Police say a victim was located in Cielto Park near 35th and Campbell Avenues, and officers responded just after 7:00 a.m.

"Although preliminary information does not suggest anything suspicious, this is an ongoing investigation," stated Sgt. Vince Lewis.

The official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.
