Man, woman arrested, accused of stealing bags at Sky Harbor
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix Police have arrested two people, accused of stealing suitcases from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
According to police, the suspects hit the airport three times in three days, and the alleged crimes were caught on surveillance camera.
Corey Wylam and Michelle Bolus are facing burglary and theft charges. According to police, the two flew into Sky Harbor last Tuesday, and they picked up their bags, as well as allegedly stealing four others. Police said the duo was targeting Terminals 3 and 4. and over the course of three days, allegedly stole at least nine bags.
Investigators were able to track the two, through the GPS on their rental car. Wylam was reportedly arrested in a parking lot near 40th Street and Bell. Officers reportedly found more than 20 stolen bags in his car.
Bolus was reportedly taken into custody at a drug rehab center.
Investigators said in all, the couple stole about $20,000 worth of goods, and thus far, 10 victims have been tracked down.
