Glendale Police: 18-month-old girl found in car, died at hospital

PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Glendale Police officials they are investigating the death of a girl who was found inside a car Monday afternoon.

According to Phoenix Fire officials, the child was found inside a car along the 5200 block of W. Thunderbird Road, located in Glendale. Fire officials say it is unknown as to how long the child was inside the car.

Glendale Police officials say the child, who was 18 months old, was found by her father at around 4:30 p.m., after she had been in the car for "a few hours. The girl was found strapped into a car seat inside a car at the Paseo Park Apartment Complex. The girl was pronounced dead at the hospital.
