Arians could spend more time with CASA, following retirement

Following Bruce Arians' decision to retire as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, the former coach could turn his attention to something else he's very passionate about.

CASAs, or "Court Appointed Special Advocates", are a foster kid's voice in court. The Arians Family Foundation, led by Bruce- his wife Christine, and son Jake, helps with bringing awareness and funding to those thinking about being a casa and to those who already are.

This past year-- the foundation gave $200,000 to Voices for CASA Children, a nonprofit that works with CASA of Arizona, helping foster kids find permanent homes.

Arians mentioned the foundation during his press conference on Monday.

"Very proud of our foundation and the work we are doing to help the children in this Valley, and that won't ever stop," said Arians.

With roughly 16,000 kids in foster care statewide and only 1,000 CASA volunteers, it's safe to say there's a big need for more CASAs. With more money, more efficient training can happen.

Arians also said he might even become a CASA.
