Landscaping truck, motorcycle involved in deadly I-10 crash

A deadly crash along I-10 near 75th Avenue is under investigation. DPS says a landscaping truck collided with a motorcycle in the eastbound lanes. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries. No word yet on what led up to the collision, but Arizona DPS says impairment doesn't appear to be a factor.

Dog rescued along I-17 near downtown Phoenix

ADOT captured DPS troopers rescuing a German Shepherd who ran onto the I-17 near downtown Phoenix Tuesday morning. It happened near Thomas Road. Troopers blocked off the left lane in both directions while catching the dog. Animal control took the German Shepherd in for care.

Truck fire shuts down SR 87 near Sun Lakes

A truck fire shut down southbound State Route 87 at Hunt Highway on April 30, the Arizona Department of Transportation said. The northbound lanes were closed at Gilbert Road. It's unknown if there were any injuries.

1 killed in three-car crash on I-10

The crash happened at around 2:30 a.m. on April 29 near Interstate 10 and Dysart Road. The eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours, but they have since been reopened. The victim was not identified by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. It's unknown what caused the crash.

Phoenix-area weekend freeway closures (April 26-29)

Eastbound US 60 will be closed between I-10 and Mill Avenue; westbound I-10 on-ramp at Baseline Road will be closed. Southbound Loop 101 will be closed between US 60 and Guadalupe Road, while the southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at University Drive and Broadway Road are also closed. ADOT says to plan on I-10 lane restrictions near the Broadway Curve this weekend.
