Arizona weather forecast: Phoenix sees cooler temperatures

Cooler temperatures arrived in Arizona on Tuesday.

Today:

Temperatures fell seven degrees in the Phoenix area, only reaching 86 degrees in the afternoon. This was thanks to a cool front that passed through the region. Winds were still a bit breezy behind the storm system and front, but the winds will lighten up more on Wednesday.

Tonight & Tomorrow:

Tonight will be clear with a low around 60 in the Valley. Wednesday will be partly cloudy, with lighter winds, and a high temperature around 85 degrees. Temperatures will be similar to Tuesday across Arizona.

Looking Ahead:

The next storm system will move into the state on Thursday to Friday, bringing strong winds across the state on Thursday, along with even cooler temperatures.

The winds in the high country will gust at 40 to 50 mph Thursday afternoon. The Valley could see gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures will drop into the upper 70s in the Valley and into the low 50s in Flagstaff.

Friday will be an even cooler day! Temperatures will warm back up over the weekend. Not much moisture will move in with the Thursday storm, and only far northern Arizona could see some light, spotty showers Thursday afternoon and evening.
