Arizona weather forecast: Scattered showers continue on Wednesday in Phoenix

Our active weather pattern continues!

Throughout the day on Jan. 29, there will be light, scattered rain and snow showers across Arizona. The showers will be mostly focused over north-central parts of the state, including parts of Coconino, Yavapai, Gila and Navajo Counties.

Any precipitation will be light and snow may melt onto things like roads and pavement.

What We Can Expect:

For Phoenix, precipitation is likely on Wednesday, with a chance for rain throughout most of the day. Highs only reached 59° on Wednesday in the Valley.

Through the afternoon on Wednesday, light snow showers graced the High Country, including over the eastern parts of the state, like the White Mountains. Snow totals will yet again not be large. However, a few inches will be possible in areas like Flagstaff (1-3"), Payson and Prescott (1-2") or Pinetop-Lakeside (1-3").

What they're saying:

"Precipitation chances continue as the low pressure system moves through central AZ today," the National Weather Service Phoenix wrote on X. "Light rain showers are possible across the lower deserts of Arizona with higher elevation snowfall (mainly above 4000 feet) also possible."
