
Arizona State Senate votes to lift education spending cap for the year
The vote by the State Senate came after the State House voted on Feb. 7 to lift a constitutionally-mandated spending cap for public schools. Had state lawmakers failed to reach an agreement to lift the cap, schools would have faced budget cuts in the range of $1.4 billion.
