AZ child dead after being found in car, PD says

A child died after being found unresponsive inside a car in southern Arizona on Tuesday, police said. The child was found inside the car around 4 p.m. on July 9 near the Paseo Rancho Acero area in Marana, the police department said.

Hurricane Beryl causes severe flooding in Texas

Hurricane Beryl struck the Texas coast early Monday near Matagorda as a Category 1 storm with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph. The state issued a disaster declaration for 121 Texas counties in anticipation of the storm.
