Kyrsten Sinema delivers farewell speech to Senate
Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema delivered a farewell speech on the Senate floor on Dec. 18. Sinema served in the U.S. Senate for six years. She was elected as a Democrat but later changed her party to Independent. Sinema previously announced she would not seek a second term. Sinema was the first woman to represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate.
Luigi Mangione indicted in UHC CEO's murder
Alleged CEO killer Luigi Mangione has been indicted in New York City and faces a slew of charges, including first-degree murder and murder as an act of terrorism, the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg announced. Luigi Mangione already was charged with murder in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, but the murder as an act of terrorism charge is new.
