The tribe has been mired in political upheaval since April, when Navajo Vice President Richelle Montoya publicly outlined allegations of intimidation and sexual harassment against President Buu Nygren, stemming from interactions at an August 2023 meeting in Nygren’s office.

AG: 14 suspects in trouble for poaching wildlife

Fourteen people were indicted by a grand jury, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced, and are accused of poaching wildlife in several counties. Authorities say the poaching happened in Maricopa, Yavapai and Coconino counties.

Alleged drunk driver arrested with finger in White Claw

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office posted video to social media showing the arrest of a suspected drunk driver in Skull Valley. In the video, a deputy approached the driver and noticed his finger was in a White Claw can. The sheriff's office says the suspect was swerving off the road and driving in the wrong direction. The suspect was arrested and is accused of DUI.

Teenage bicyclist hit, killed by car in Prescott Valley

A teenager is dead after he was hit by a car in Prescott Valley on Tuesday night, police said. The collision happened near Viewpoint and Manley Drives when the boy was riding his bike. After the crash, the boy was airlifted to a Phoenix hospital where he later died. Police say the driver was taken into custody and is being investigated.
