Surprise toddler nearly drowns in pool, authorities say

A toddler is in the hospital after being pulled from a backyard pool. It happened on Aug. 6 in Surprise near 179th Avenue and Greenway Road. Fire crews say the two-year-old was underwater for about five minutes and suffered respiratory arrest. A medical chopper flew the child to Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Glendale firefighter honored for saving a man's life

Firefighter Timothy Webb was off duty on one August day in 2022 when Surprise Police responded to an altercation. Despite the dangerous situation, Webb stepped up to help a person who was injured, and for that, Surprise officials are honoring Webb. FOX 10's Danielle Miller reports.
