Several crashes across the Valley, some deadly, are under investigation. In one of the crashes, a pedestrian was struck and killed. In another crash, another driver allegedly struck a wall and pole and died at the hospital.

Loop 202 reopens after police situation

Both directions of the Loop 202 Santan in the East Valley are back open after a police situation shut down the freeway for several hours on Monday, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.

3 hurt in Mesa semi-truck crash

Three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a car crash involving a semi-truck near Signal Butte and Broadway Roads on Nov. 20 in Mesa, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said. Power was also knocked out in the area. FOX 10's Irene Snyder reports.

Phoenix weekend freeway closures (Nov. 15-18)

Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes between the I-17 Split and the U.S. 60 from 10 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday for work on the Broadway Curve Improvement Project; eastbound Loop 202 Santan will be closed between McQueen and Cooper Roads from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 12 p.m. Saturday for sign structure removal; westbound Loop 202 Santan will be closed between Cooper and McQueen Roads from 11:59 p.m. Saturday to Noon Sunday for sign structure removal; and State Route 87 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between McDowell Road and Shea Boulevard from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday for the Ironman Arizona event.

Driver hurt in fiery Glendale crash

A driver was hurt in a fiery crash on Nov. 15 near Grand and Myrtle Avenues. Glendale Police say the driver was trapped inside the car after the crash and had to be pulled out by firefighters. The driver of a second vehicle involved in the crash was not hurt. Police are investigating whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
