With 41 days until the election, we're getting a behind-the-scenes look at ballot production in Arizona, as well as election security measures. Runbeck Election Services is the company that prints the ballots that we will use either by mail or in person on Nov. 5. FOX 10's Ellen McNamara has this story.

Phoenix City Council unanimously passes police reform

In a 9-0 vote by the Phoenix City Council, reforms were passed on how police report crimes and they determine whether or not someone is homeless, among other changes. The measure was proposed in response to a report by the Department of Justice outlining alleged abuse by the police department.

Shots fired at Democratic campaign office in Tempe

Police are investigating shots fired at a Democratic Party campaign office near Priest Drive and Southern Avenue. No one was inside the office at the time of the shooting. The incident is being investigated as a property damage crime.

Gun sales are down due to enhanced background checks

New enhanced background checks have prevented thousands of gun sales this year so far, the White House said. Some are saying, however, that these checks are targeting the wrong people. FOX 10's Ashlie Rodriguez has more.

VP Kamala Harris returns to Arizona this week

Vice President Kamala Harris will make a return trip to Arizona later this week as part of a battleground tour. Harris will visit Pennsylvania on Wednesday before stopping in Arizona on Friday, according to her campaign. After visiting Arizona, Harris will be in Nevada on Sunday.

Trump leads Harris in Arizona, new poll shows

A New York Times poll released on Sept. 23 shows former President Donald rump leading Vice President Kamala Harris in battleground Arizona. Meanwhile, in the Senate race, Democrat Ruben Gallego leads Republican Kari Lake by six points.

AZ Supreme Court rules on voter eligibility case

The case came about after the Maricopa County Recorder's Office uncovered an error that, for two decades, mistakenly designated over 90,000 voters as having access to the full ballot. The error is connected with a state law that requires voters to provide documented proof of citizenship.
